Hi, my name is Katherine. I'm glad you've stumbled upon this blog! I hope it gives you insight to the wonderful world of God's blessings. Even in the darkest hours of our life, God is with us and He is wanting to shower us with blessings, we only need to allow Him. I started this blog because I was in that dark time, but I wasn't going to wallow in my sorrow. I was going to show God I still believed He had control and was using this time to stretch me. It's been a wonderful journey and taught me more than I ever thought possible. I hope you continue on this journey with me to November 9, 2014 which will be 1000th blessing!
The Color Run 2012
I am graduate of Harding University, originally from Dallas, TX. Now I'm living in Tulsa and elated with that choice. I love my church family and could not of asked for a better group of friends. Park Plaza CoC runs differently than any other church I've been to. They are actually bringing the lost to them instead of hoping the lost decide to come through the doors. With that kind of mentality their numbers are growing and people are finding Jesus every day. If you ever find yourself in the Tulsa area and need a church to attend, come on over! Shoot me a comment or email and I'll help you find your way around.
My all-time best friend Liz <3
She's now married!!!
I've been a swimmer since as long as I can remember and I turned towards coaching at the wee age of thirteen. I didn't become serious until I was in college where I coached two teams all four years I attended Harding. Want to see me in my element? Come see me with my kids and near the water. I love it! I love being a coach, friend, and mostly a mentor to my kids. I love seeing them succeed, overcome failure, learn, and grow. Watching those kids grow up and being able to be a part of that has been one of the biggest blessings of my life. I now know what parents mean when they say raising kids is the joy of life.
Becca: my other half in Tulsa :)
I work as a swim coach at one of the most talented clubs in Oklahoma. Ok, maybe I'm a bit biased, but my kids are amazing. I hope as a coach that I don't only help them succeed in the water, but also in life. My main goal is to instill in them good morals, work ethic, and hopefully teach them about Jesus. I also hope they chose swimming for the rest of their life. As Adolph Kiefer (1936 Olympian and former boss) once said, "We want to make this a lifetime sport." He meant he wanted young swimmers to keep swimming for the rest of their lives. I hope I can carry on his tradition and passion for swimming.
