Upgrade! (Day 273)

Can I spend some time writing about a very materialistic blessing? Today, after five years of having the same phone, received my iPhone in the mail! I'm not a phone junkie. I don't need to be on it every second of every day. I can't stand when people have relationships with their phones instead of the wonderful, beautiful, actually living people around them. I've been without a data plan until this day. I've been without apps until now. There is a way to survive, I promise. BUT, I can't say it isn't nice to finally have a smart phone.

No more "dumb" phones for me. Hopefully, this one will last me five years like the last one. I probably have been on it too much today, but I'm going to make the excuse of "it's because it's new." And anyways, today I've been just trying to figure the thing out! It's a bit more complicated than my last one.. and a bit is a huge understatement. Now, I have found one app that I know I will be addicted to in no time. That would be instagram. As I told one of my friends on Saturday, "I can't wait to instagram the crap out of everything!" Who wouldn't want to take a photo, put a preset filter on it, and post it so everyone can see? It's like photoshop, but easy. It's like twitter, but better. It's like Facebook, but only the part I like about Facebook (the photos).

So now that I've blabbed about a silly app, I'll finish with saying I'm thankful to have more than I ever thought I would. I didn't expect to have a smart phone until I was able to pay for it myself (and at the rate I'm going who knows when that would of been). Also, I'm thankful for parents who wanted to purchase me the latest without even asking. I'm not used to having top of the line (which I am more than ok with) so this is such a surprise. I am very grateful for this gift and hope to never take advantage of it.
