Another One Already?! (Day 244)

I didn't plan on writing today. I know, shame on me. It's wasn't because I was too tired. Work was actually very easy today. It's the fact that I have a new book and I love reading.. when I have time to do it. Today I finally had some time so I picked it up and haven't put it down except when I was quickly shoving food in my mouth, oh and when I was watching my favorite tv show. The book is connected to my Kindle on my computer which I'm actually really disappointed about because nothing is better than touching the pages and smelling the paper, but because of that I heard a beep from my Skype. My Facebook is connected to my Skype (sheesh I sound like such a tech nerd right now) and Skype was telling me I had a new message.

This is when I decided to write. My best friend told me in this message that she loves to sit back and watch God work in my life. She said it gives her encouragement. So Liz I'm putting down my book for you tonight! You better appreciate that! ;) She knows how I am because of freshman year and the unfortunate Twilight series that I spent reading instead of studying for my finals or my sudden desire to read Old Testament commentary books this past semester instead of doing any of my homework. How I pulled a 3.45 GPA is beyond me. But all of that is way off topic. I need to write because I made a commitment to myself and God, and because I want to encourage others and that only happens if I actually get around to posting.

Now on the my blessing. I was given another job offer today. This one still not in Tulsa so I'm not sure what I'm planning on doing with it, but it's something to think about. It's through Creative Co-op which is the company I've been working for right now. My boss seems to be impressed enough with me that he wants to hire me full time. During the regular season I would work at the corporate office with probably the new product and during showroom season (right now through end of December) I would be traveling and helping him put together the rooms. I would get to travel to Dallas, Atlanta, and Las Vegas since that is where their three showrooms are located. The only thing he has to do first is get the company to ok it. So yes, he's given me a position that might not even be real, but it is a possibility. And really what it says to me is that I am talented and am worth someone's money and time. After this summer I was very upset with my internship and I felt a bit worthless, I didn't know where to go and what to do, and now in the past month I've had two companies see potential in me. It's more of a confidence booster than anything else. I would still really like to hold out for a job in Tulsa so if anyone is hiring let me know!! To anyone looking for a well rounded person, look no farther. As you can see I can do almost anything. In the past year I've worked with kids, I've graduated with a major in graphic design, I've almost worked in social services, and now I've been doing manual labor mixed with showroom design. I'm also good at answering phones and taking messages. My boss when I was a lifeguard used to use me to call people over the intercom because he said I had one of the most professional voices he'd ever heard. I'll stop now so I don't bore you, but too bad this doesn't link to an ad in the classifieds.

But really I'm not worried. The job will come. This is what being a college graduate is all about. I'll look back on these times when I'm older and probably miss them.
