What I mean when I say God's timing is perfect is that lately, as you've read, my thanks has been lacking. And it's because I don't see where I'm going. My future is not clear and I don't like it. I'm going to sum up the lesson with a few sentences. There were many different scriptures cited, and my mind was so blown on the fact that we were talking about this subject that I spent more time thinking about that than actually taking in everything the teacher was saying.
Distress to Deliverance. There are many different times in the Bible that this has been the case. In these cases the people used prayers of thanks to our Father. In time they were then delivered. These weren't just the normal old thank you. The word in greek is eucharisteo. It's the same word used over and over in One Thousand Gifts. It's a prayer of thanking God for what He has already done. Jesus uses it when He breaks bread and gives thanks in Matthew 26. Paul used it in Acts 27 while onboard a ship bound to wreck. The Israelites used it in Psalm 107.
All these are good reminders that I don't know my future, but He does. I tired and on my last limb of being in this distress, but I know that if every time I get tired He will give me something to keep me going.
Monday: Let's just call today a day of hope. After praying and begging God for a bit of hope just so I could keep myself going, I got it. I asked for anything. I didn't care what or how it came, I just needed to know He was still there. It actually was the last thing I expected to receive and at first I was so upset about it. But it came and I'll accept what He gave me.
