Cheap Memories (Day 33/34)

On day 34 I was finally able to eat with an old friend, Tripp Radcliffe. He adopted me as his little sister around my freshman year and has stuck by my side ever since. In a few months many things will be changing for both of us since we will both be graduating. It was encouraging being able to swap knowledge and wisdom as we both talk about our prospective plans while trying to keep God in the center of our life. We both have exciting futures ahead of us with our careers but there are still many things uncertain and they can take a toll on our energy levels. It's friends like him that make me realize I'm really loved.

On day 35 (today) a long day of classes turned into a great evening with a bike ride and then a drive to TNT hill to watch the sunset accompanied by Liz. With the extra light we had plenty of time to fit both in.  The hill is about 25 minutes away and after driving up to it we realized the sunset was behind us covered by trees. That didn't deter us for too long. We hopped back in the car and kept driving and as we came around a corner there it was, the most beautiful and big sun. It was about halfway down but the vibrance of the red hue it was casting off was incredible. We pulled over on the side of the road and just watched it disappear. I love days like this. There was no planning involved to our evening. I got off work, headed to her apartment, and we came up with something to do. Sometimes the cheapest and simplest things can be the most memorable.
