After my four hour drive turned into a five and a half one I finally arrived in Houston to see my best friend of all time after being apart for five months.. and her new addition to her finger. Yes, my best friend is now engaged and I spent the weekend getting to help plan her wedding because I'm now a bridesmaid! It's my first wedding so it's sort of a big deal to me.
We drove all over Houston looking at venues and a dress shop. It was so much fun. On Sunday we ended up finding her dream venue which was beautiful. I was a bit jealous she would be getting married in a mini mansion. It was their open house so there were venders all over the place. Best part was when we were tasting food. Liz's mom came over to us and she asked if we liked the food. We said yes and then Liz said, "And does he come with the package?" Haha. He is referring to the guy serving some of the food and let me tell you he was attractive. Just my best friend looking out for me. :)
But the best part of the weekend was just getting to spend time with the only person outside of my family that I can say anything around. I don't fear what she thinks when I say something extremely honest. And man we click. We could talk for hours, all night long, if we didn't get so tired we literally fell asleep mid-sentence. I also become much funnier whenever I'm around her. Well, either that or she just laughs at everything I say. Either way it makes me feel witty. I just wish the weekend didn't end so quickly.
And today I didn't do much. Read my Bible, took a nap (accidentally), drooled a bit on my Bible (whoops), and called the company in Amarillo to schedule a time to go out and their and see what I might be getting myself into. But more on that after I've made my decision. I don't feel like talking about it right now. Oh and I thanked God for this amazing weather that landed on my doorstep today. Those low to mid 70s have finally arrived. If only they could stay forever.
